The Kahuna Mako Comp features a race-oriented design for recreational paddlers that want to go fast and straight. The displacement hull achieves this by being designed with a negative nose angle and a v-shaped bow. This not only helps the board track but allows the paddler to cut through choppy water with ease. Utilizing a brushed carbon lay-up the COMP weighs in at approximately 24lbs, therefore it is light and fast. Having the full 3K Carbon Epoxy Sandwich Vacuum Construction, the Comp is not only light but super stiff. Paddlers know that stiff boards are fast because of the reduced flex in the board therefore allowing for superior glide qualities. At 30″ wide and with increased volume in the standing zone, the paddler can stand further up on the deck. Therefore reducing paddle strikes to the sides of the board. The Comp is a very fast board in all wind directions and a proven performer on the water.
